This tray packer is designed to wrap pre-creased blanks around products according to preset packing patterns. This machine forms flat tray blanks to a U shape, folds in the two outer side corners, pushes in products, folds in the two inner corners, transfers the blanks, sprays hot-melt glue, and finally folds the front and rear sides to form the trays.

 

Process: product infeed → product collating → tray blank pre-folding into U-shape → tray conveying & forming → product loading → glue spray → tray closing → exit

 

This tray packer can be tailored to pack a broad variety of products like bricks, cups, cans, bottles and jars. It can be combined with a shrink wrapper to produce a secure pack. Shrink-wrapped trays are a popular packaging for instant ramen noodles (in both pillow packs and cups) in the North American market.
